From cultivation right through to the essential oil, come and (re) discover the journey of a plant whose fragrance and many virtues have been our childhood companions! Give yourself a present: take the time to live a unique sensorial experience: a massage in the middle of the lavender fields.

Your Visit

Your visit begins with a sensorial test about lavender and lavandin. When you approac h the lavender fields, you will discover the cultural significance of these plants, and the reasons why they are planted next to truffle oaks. And to finish, you will discover how the plants are harvested and distilled. Come and peek through the glass still to have a transparent view of the way the essential oil is extracted*.

- July and August : visits every day upon the hour, every hour, from 11.00 a.m until 7.00 p.m. Workshop open from 10.00 a.m.to 7.00 p.m.

*Demonstration of distilling process every day on the 11.00 a.m. visit.

Driving directions to visit L' Essentiel de Lavande

- driving from the North: Highway A7, take the Valreas/Pierrelatte (formerly Montelimar Sud) exit, follow the Grignan signs then the Clansayes sign.  At the golf course drive up towards the village, after Le Plantier take the first path to your left then another left and drive straightforward for 2km

- driving from the South : Highway A7, exit Bollene then follow the Saint-Paul-Trois-Chateaux signs, then follow the Clansayes sign. Drive up through the village, stay on that road. Take a right at the third intersection, drive straightforward for 2km.
